My journey from a regular police officer, when I was 20 years old, to being promoted to Director in 2024 is a testament to the transformative power of mentorship and a nurturing organisational culture. I left the force to seek a career where I could better provide for my aging parents and in 2018 I joined the financial advisory industry after meeting my mentor, Yuan Shyuan. At Honeybees, we embrace a culture of “Paying It Forward,” and I am committed to providing opportunities to individuals in need, akin to the support I received when starting out. This ethos propelled me to begin recruiting and sharing my vision, ultimately culminating in the establishment of my team in 2021.

Mentorship and effective leadership
Mentorship has been the cornerstone of my success, and as a leader, I view my own offerings not just of knowledge and skills acquisition but also of fostering character development and I focus on personalised training to unlock each associate’s potential. My leadership philosophy is rooted in trust and inspiration as the foundations upon which productive working relationships are built with my associates. By building upon this mutual trust and inspiring and and encouraging their personal growth, I aim to unlock the untapped potential within and guide them toward their personal and professional goals. Aside from this, I believe that mutual accountability fosters an environment where leaders can focus on strategic priorities so to be an effective leader, I take ownership of results, and through this, create proactive solutions and prioritise accountability from each individual.

My family, organisation, and my mentor are my pillars of motivation. Their unwavering support and the exemplary work ethic of my mentor inspire me daily to strive for excellence and make them proud. “因为有你，大家会更好” (Because of you, everyone will be better) encapsulates the organisation’s belief in fostering an environment where everyone’s well-being is paramount. This culture of openness, accountability, and selflessness is what makes Honeybees unique and I strive to continue to share this belief.
