I joined AIA Singapore in December 2014 and later transitioned to AIA FA in February 2023. My journey into the financial advisory field began as an economics student at NTU, where I realised that conventional desk-bound jobs were not appealing to me. This insight came from my part-time experiences during university, which pushed me to seek something more dynamic and impactful. A referral from my university friend, Chai Wee, led me to a conversation with Eke Nerng, a leader within AIA, whose vision of touching lives and changing destinies resonated deeply with me. Inspired by this mission, I decided to take a leap of faith and embark on this career path.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is receiving positive feedback and gratitude from clients, particularly when they refer their family and friends to me. Such moments affirm the impact and value of my efforts, reinforcing my commitment to this profession.

My ultimate goal is to serve 600 families within the next three years. Achieving this goal will not only signify a personal milestone but also reflect my dedication to making a significant difference in the lives of many.

What continuously motivates me in this role is the opportunity to assist clients in reaching their financial objectives and cultivating strong, trust-based relationships. The fulfillment derived from seeing clients achieve their goals and the trust they place in me are what drive me to excel each day.

In my view, the most critical trait for a financial consultant is integrity. This profession demands that we act with the utmost honesty and transparency, as clients entrust us with their financial well-being. Integrity is the cornerstone of trust and is essential for building long-lasting, confident relationships with clients. By consistently prioritising my clients’ best interests, I ensure that they feel secure and valued in our interactions.
