I joined the financial advisory industry in November 2022, driven by my background in psychology. My academic studies showed me the limitations of impacting society only through those who seek help, prompting me to seek a broader platform where the extent of my impact is dictated by my own efforts rather than the reach of those aware of my services. This realisation led me to the financial advisory sector, where I could reach out and make a significant difference in many more lives.

My primary career goal is to impact as many lives as possible. I aim to enhance my capabilities to serve the public effectively and to mentor others who are passionate about the services this industry provides. My vision involves a gradual but consistent growth in both my personal skills and my ability to teach others, touching one life at a time.

The most valuable lesson I’ve learned since becoming a financial consultant is the importance of daily habits. Maintaining excellent habits ensures that we never lose sight of our goals and the exceptional individuals we are meant to become. This principle guides both my personal development and my professional conduct.

What keeps me motivated are the supportive relationships I’ve cultivated with my colleagues and peers. The strong community environment not only helps me through challenging times but also enhances my everyday experiences, making each moment enjoyable and fulfilling.

For new financial consultants, remember, “this too shall pass.” This advice, often repeated by my mentor during challenging times, serves as a reminder that difficulties are temporary and will eventually become part of our growth experience.

To those considering a career in this field, approach it with an open mind. The job might seem daunting on paper, but success largely depends on having a good heart, moral discernment, and filial respect. It’s crucial to build competency and always prioritise humanity before business to truly serve those around you.

When recruiting new financial consultants, I pay close attention to how they treat service staff. This behaviour often reflects a person’s true character and their likely approach in challenging situations. Respect and kindness towards all, regardless of status or background, are key traits that indicate a potential consultant’s suitability for this empathetic and service-driven industry.
