Before joining AIA FA in 2020, I worked in the hotel industry for 7 years. It was my first full-time job and I found that I truly love being in the customer service line, I like to interact with my hotel guests and colleagues, but it also made me realise that no matter how hard and how long I work, I will be always working under someone, and have no control to my own life. I decided to explore options which allow me to have full control of my life and ensure I can grow further to become a better self.

Last year, I qualified for my first IDA, MDRT and Convention. I am glad that I managed to achieve what I set for myself at the start of the year with all my hard work. And with that, it increased my own and my client’s confidence level. This is not an easy journey, I went through struggles but I always remind myself no matter how fast or slow, I just need to make sure I keep moving. I am thankful for the motivation and guidance from everyone who gave me their support and guidance, as without them, I won’t be where am I today.

My biggest motivation is that I can further my passion for customer service. I love to interact with people, now I have more reasons to connect with them and value add to them as much as I can. I have more time for my family compared to my previous corporate job, and I have full control of my life now. Also, I know that in this industry, as long as I am willing to put in my effort, I will get the equal result. I am looking forward to having at least 500 clients after 5 to 7 years in the career, I will be focused and continue to service my existing clients for the rest of my life.

My husband Is my biggest inspiration. He has given me his 100% support all the time, be it physically or emotionally, it makes me worry-free about other stuff and focus on my work. My boy is also one of the biggest influences on me. I become stronger whenever I think about him. My mentor is also an inspiration. He always reminds me to be a nice person and leads us by example. Without him, I would not be me today and I am thankful to have him as a friend and mentor to be around to guide and lead me in this industry.
