Despite starting out as a chemical engineer in a Fortune 500 company in the oil and gas industry, I realised that my interest was really in finance, and frequently spent time reading financial content. In 2020, I decided to take the leap of faith into financial advisory, as I wanted to positively impact others by guiding and helping them achieve their financial goals. I strongly believe that everyone can be great, as long as we remain disciplined and strive for continuous learning.

Guiding the community
The industry landscape is changing with more and more savvy graduates, and financial advisory has revolutionalised into one that provides holistic services. This career enables me to positively impact the community around me, and help others in different aspects of life starting with their finances. Furthermore, the flexibility of this career is only limited by our imagination. I can be helping my friends with career and life issues apart from their finances. This will compound over time to forge deeper relationships with my clients.

Helping others create the future they want
I stay motivated by knowing and seeing my friends grow with the awareness of financial planning and financial literacy, and helping them feel secure about creating the future that they envision for themselves. Ultimately, we all gain from having better financial health and avoid being the sandwich generation.

Be adaptable
We all come from different walks of life and the ability to adapt to situations fast allows us to strive in different situations. The financial advisory industry is everchanging, and we need adaptability to remain relevant.
