I am a third-year student at SUSS, majoring in marketing with a minor in finance technology. Before joining the industry, I was working a part-time job in F&B. I got introduced to the financial advisory business by my girlfriend Cheryl, who was working as a PA for my mentor IO, Isaac Pung. Initially, I was hesitant about joining but eventually, after hanging out with the team and seeing the good work that we do, I decided to take that leap of faith.

A sustainable and scalable career
I chose this career because it was a low opportunity cost for me at that point since I was only working a part-time job, and it was a career that would be sustainable and scalable for me while being able to create a positive impact on the lives around me.

Creating a vision for oneself
I have a vision board for myself that keeps me going, and it is filled with my dreams, goals and the people who I love. It also keeps me optimistic and motivated to continue serving people around me, as it benefits both my loved ones and my clients themselves.

Be a team player
We cannot succeed alone in this business, and it’s important for every financial consultant to have trustworthiness and be a team player. In our line of work, we handle people’s finances and life plans, therefore, being honest and reliable is really important. Moreover, in AAG, culture is important and being a team player is crucial.
