I began my journey as a financial consultant in October 2008, after a challenging stint in the shipping industry where long hours and office politics overshadowed my hard work and commitment. Seeking a profession where I could truly reap rewards proportional to my efforts, I was drawn to the financial advisory sector. The promise of independence and the potential to directly benefit from my own efforts appealed to me greatly, marking the start of my fulfilling career in this dynamic industry.

Since transitioning to AIA FA in August 2023, I have experienced numerous highlights. One such memorable moment occurred when a stranger, overhearing my conversation about financial planning, approached me to learn more, eventually becoming a client. Another proud achievement was receiving a compliment letter from a client addressed to AIA, praising my dedication and work — recognition that was both surprising and deeply gratifying.

My ultimate career goal is to cultivate a thriving team that includes my family, creating a lasting legacy that extends our professional values to future generations. The idea of working alongside my child and husband, guiding clients through life’s financial challenges, motivates me every day to maintain a healthy and productive team environment.

The greatest influences in my career have been my bosses and colleagues. Their collaborative spirit, innovative brainstorming, and supportive nature have profoundly shaped my approach to financial advising. I am immensely thankful for the team dynamics that have not only driven my professional growth but also enriched my personal development.

In the ever-evolving landscape of financial advisory, I believe that staying relevant requires continuous self-improvement. It’s a field where complacency can lead to obsolescence, yet with perseverance and adaptability, it remains a rewarding and sustainable career path.
