I started my journey in financial advisory with AIA in August 2015 and transitioned to AIA FA in February 2023. Originally from Malaysia, I pursued my undergraduate degree at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), and upon graduation, faced with the need to support my family and repay my tuition fee loans, I sought a career that rewarded effort with commensurate financial returns. The dynamic and potentially lucrative nature of financial advisory, introduced to me by a senior who is now a colleague, seemed a perfect fit.

A standout moment in my career was in 2021, amidst the personal challenges of pregnancy and welcoming my first child, I achieved the title of top Financial Consultant in my district. With this achievement in mind, I hope to eventually be an agency leader leading a team of 20 elites by 2029.

My primary motivation stems from my challenging upbringing, where financial insecurity was a constant stressor. This background drives my commitment to ensure that my family, and by extension my clients, never have to face similar financial instability. This career has not only enabled me to provide for my family’s needs but has also allowed me to offer the same security to other families, ensuring they are well prepared for any financial uncertainties.

The most crucial trait for success in financial consultancy is consistency. This involves regular and reliable engagement with clients throughout the year, rather than peaks of activity. Consistent effort ensures steady business growth, maintains client trust, and prevents burnout, making it fundamental for long-term success in this field.
