Upon graduating with BSc(Hons) in Accounting and Finance, I joined AIA as a financial consultant without hesitation. Since young, I have been following my mother around for her appointments and also overseas conventions as she herself has been an agent for more than 20 years. This has also given me a head start in this career as I understand how this industry works. Seeing how my mother’s clients become her friends has inspired me to be the same passionate financial consultant to grow together with clients. My accolades include MDC Gold, MDC Platinum, Prestige Titanium, Athens Convention, Hawaii Convention.

100% effort and discipline
This career is a business to me. To ensure my career starts off strong and on the right track, I make sure that I work very hard. I invest in different prospecting methods to find what suits me most. I use different methods of interaction as I want to stay connected with clients. I also make sure to attend to every one of my clients attentively so that they feel safe to entrust me with their financial planning.

My greatest influence – My Mother, who is also an AIA Financial Consultant
I am very fortunate to be able to learn the ropes from my mother and be exposed to this industry since young. I aspire to be as successful as she is.

An indispensable service
The role of financial consultants in society will remain as necessary and important as ever, especially when it comes to assisting clients during a claim process. Though the world is getting more digitalised, financial consultants will still be necessary to give the proper explanation, advice and recommendation. In order to survive in this competitive industry, the focus is not only on sales but also on self-improvement so that one can acquire more clients and retain clients to forge long-term relationships.

Work-Life Balance
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is equally important. Live to eat and not eat to live. Visits to the gym, swimming, cycling and baking are ways for me to destress. This will allow me to meet my clients at my best. I want to bring positivity and a smile to my clients. Being mentally and physically fit will also ensure I can keep my career going in the long run.
