LIM CHENG JUN RYAN

I joined AIA in 2017 while I was in SIM-RMIT pursuing my full-time Bachelor’s in Economics & Finance. My family was actually a beneficiary of insurance and this is what drove my purpose towards helping my clients and to be a financial consultant. Receiving the right guidance from my mentors, I was able to achieve my first Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) membership as a student in 2018. Upon graduation in late 2018, I went on to my first full year and achieved my second round of MDRT in 2019. As of this point, I’ve managed to achieve my third MDRT, as well as being an International Dragon Award (IDA) awardee, and am aspiring towards my promotion to Associate Director.

Impacting others’ lives with a sound financial plan.
Ensuring my friends and family have sound financial plans and being able to bring out the best in others are the key drivers that keep me motivated as a financial consultant.

Wearing multiple hats as a financial consultant.
Besides their financial consultant, my clients also see me as their confidant, a positive influence, as well as an advocate of healthy living. Often, I am also the listening ear, where my clients can share their problems and troubles with, without worrying their words will be heard by others.

Setting high standards for myself.
My clients know that I uphold high standards for the quality of work I deliver, and also the high commitment level towards them in playing my role as a friend and as their financial consultant. I think that my ability to truly understand what my clients need, and always think in their best interests are my biggest strengths as a financial consultant.

Time management is key.
Achieving my first MDRT despite being a full-time student remains the proudest moment in my career so far. It wasn’t easy juggling work and studies but I managed it with strong support from my mentors and team.
