I have been a financial consultant for 11 years since I joined the industry as a fresh graduate and was curious to understand and explore what financial advisory would be like as a career.

What keeps me going is the idea of being able to help my friends and family be properly secured in unforeseen circumstances, and also for their children’s education and their own retirement planning. It is fun and also fulfilling at the same time.

I believe a successful financial consultant should be filial, responsible and be someone with dreams. Being filial shows a sense of responsibility, and being a responsible person is important in this career. Someone with dreams will be motivated and will be able to help more people via this career. Another trait is also to be hardworking — you are embarking on a journey that can change your life if you put in hard work. In this career, there’s no
hardworking person who is not rewarded.
