I started out with the AAG internship programme in 2017, and was a student advisor for 2 years during my studies at the National University of Singapore. I decided to convert into a full-time financial consultant in 2019 after graduating, and have never looked back since!

Put in the hard work early on.

I chose this career as I knew I wanted to start my own family from very early on. Stepping into financial advisory allowed me to kick start my career from the age of 21. With that, I was able to bring forward some of the hard work needed to put in, as expected in the early stages of a financial consulting career. Hence, I know that when I have my own family, I will have better time management skills and flexibility.

A career with tremendous personal growth.

As an introvert, I was never able to carry myself well. However, this career allowed me to grow tremendously as a person, and improve my communication skills knowing that whatever planning I do for my clients will eventually benefit them.

Being able to be a part of family conversations is also very heartwarming, as it allows me to continue to grow with my friends and their families, since my clientele are mostly relatively young like me.

Be coachable and willing to learn.

When it comes to new financial consultants, the most important trait I look for is coachability. Always keep an open mind, because you’ll never know when the next big opportunity will fall on you!
