I was in the hospitality industry when the Covid-19 pandemic hit. It made me reevaluate my career path and think about the purpose I hope to achieve in this life. I’ve always enjoyed working with people, and have been investing since a young age. I contemplated if the financial advisory industry would be a sustainable and fulfilling career for me, and decided to take that leap of faith after half a year of contemplation.

Focus on the things that truly matter.
As someone who enjoys sports like parkour and climbing, it made me realise that there’s plenty to live for in this life and being in this business, I aim to help people with their finances so they won’t have to worry and focus on the things they enjoy.

Be strong to be useful.
That is the motto of parkour, one of my passions, which comes with calculated risks in every move. But it’s also a sport that’s taught me that in order to help others, you need to help yourself because parkour is an individual sport that simultaneously encourages others to progress further. Applying it to my career, I ensure that my financial planning is always up-to-date and I do the same for others, assisting them in creating a comprehensive, robust financial portfolio.

The work is simple, but it is not easy.
Having a career in the financial advisory industry is about constant refinement in your everyday life. You just need to better yourself by 1% every day to achieve monumental gains over the years.
